Crisis Response/Critical Incident Operations Plan, Procedures and Policies
The purpose of this webpage, and the listed policies, is to establish broad guidelines for an integrated crisis response and critical incident plan at Pittsburg State University. Pittsburg State is committed to protecting the safety and welfare of all students, faculty, staff and visitors. Priorities in any crisis situation and will put protection of people first and foremost followed by protection of the environment; prevention or minimization of damage to animals, property and/or data; and, restoration of day-to-day operations.
Response to crisis will depend upon the nature of the event. While Pittsburg State has various unit-specific crisis response plans as well as university-wide environmental, health and safety policies and procedures, common sense and flexibility to circumstances must always prevail. This webpage references existing policies and procedures and will be updated periodically.
