CHC partners with the Title IX Office and University Police & Public Safety to promote services available for survivors, working seamlessly and quickly to ensure the process is consistent and immediate.
Health Center Pharmacy
Our Apothecare Pharmacies are convenient and affordable. Eligible students and patients may qualify for reduced prescription costs through our 340B Discount Program, helping make medications more affordable. We also offer free prescription delivery. Request delivery by 11:00 a.m. for same-day delivery between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

How will I be billed if I am seen at the PSU Bryant Student Health Center (BSHC)?
Pitt State faculty and staff are welcome to be seen at BSHC. They’re responsible for the copay amount required by theirinsurance. The $15 student rate does not apply to faculty and staff.
Students are responsible for a $15 copay for all medical and behavioral health office visits regardless of insurancestatus. If a student has insurance, their insurance will be billed.
- Office visits include seeing a provider, and any procedures, point-of-care lab testing, vaccines, and injectionsperformed during that visit.
- Point-of-care lab testing are lab tests completed at the office visit and includes swabs for infection such asstrep, influenza, and COVID-19; fingerstick blood tests for glucose (diabetes) or blood count (anemia); urinetesting for infection or pregnancy.
Why am I asked to complete a Financial Assistance application?
As a Federally Qualified Health Center, CHC/SEK is required to collect certain information to determine eligibilityfor discounted services. Financial assistance is available to all students, faculty, and staff who qualify and mayhelp reduce the cost of services provided by CHC/SEK.
For students, financial assistance eligibility is based on their income as a student only (not based on theirparent’s income). Completing a financial assistance application will ensure that students’ out-of-pocket expensefor their office visit does not exceed $15 (see Question 1).
A completed financial aid form is required to receive prescription discounts through the federal 340b program.Those who do not qualify for discounted medical fees are still eligible for reduced prescription costs.

How much will I be charged for nurse-only visits?
Tests not associated with an office visit will be billed to insurance if applicable, and you will be responsible for theremaining charges.
How will students be billed if they are seen at another CHC/SEK location aside from BSHC?
Students should show their PSU Student ID at check-in to identify themselves as a PSU student.
Students are responsible for a $15 copay for all medical (including Walk-In Care) and behavioral health officevisits regardless of insurance status. If the student has insurance, their insurance will be billed. (see “office visits”and “point-of-care lab testing” in Question 1 to learn what is included in an office visit).
Labs and Diagnostic Imaging (x-ray, CT, ultrasound, bone density, mammography) will be billed to insurance orcharged the discounted amount if eligible for financial assistance. They will be responsible for deductibles andout-of-pocket expenses for these tests.
Specialty Care will be billed to insurance or charged the discounted rate if eligible for financial assistance.Students are responsible for co-pays and deductibles.
How will I be billed for labs?
Point-of-care lab testing is included in the office visit (see Question 1).
Blood draws and other labs are sent to Quest Laboratories and will be billed by Quest to your insurance. You will be responsible for deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses for labs sent to Quest.
If you do not have insurance, please complete a Quest financial assistance application or you may be billed full charges for labs. Quest has additional financial assistance available separate from CHC/SEK financial assistance. Ask us for more information on Quest financial assistance.
Does CHC offer pharmacy services?
Yes. CHC’s in-house pharmacy, Apothecare, offers convenient and affordable services. There are three Apothecare Pharmacies in Pittsburg (North, South, and Downtown locations). Eligible students, faculty, and staff may qualify for reduced prescription costs through the federal 340B discount program; a completed financial aid form is required to receive the discount. Apothecare also offers free prescription delivery. Request delivery by 11:00 am for same-day delivery between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Where can I receive services such as diagnostic imaging, women’s health, and specialty care?
CHC offers diagnostic imaging (X-ray, ultrasound, echocardiogram, mammography, and bone density testing) and women’s health services at the Pittsburg South location. Specialty care services are available at the CHC Arma location, including treatment for HIV, hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections, and tuberculosis.
