What Does This Service Do?

The CTLT provides instructional design services for the design of new online courses or support to re-design a course to meet Quality Matters standards.

Faculty may choose to participate in the eLearning Academy or contact the CTLT for one-on-one consultations. An instructional designer/faculty development specialist will serve as team members to create an online course that follows the Quality Matters rubric.

Some of the design support provided includes:

• Writing course and learning module objectives
• Organizing your course into learning units or modules
• Layout and design of your Canvas course
• Guidance on accessibility of course content
• Locating multimedia for your course

For best results for both you and your students, please plan at least one semester in advance to work with CTLT staff to develop the best possible experience for your students.
