Gorilla Gatherings
Join us for a Gorilla Gathering near you to enjoy good food, good drinks, and good conversation with fellow Gorillas! These gatherings range from sit-down dinners with Southeast Kansas fried chicken to informal social hours and special events.

GorillaFest
Join Gorilla fans three hours prior to kick-off in Gorilla Village, east of Carnie Smith Stadium for the official Pitt State tailgate prior to all home football games! Admission is free and includes bounce houses, balloon twisting, food trucks, live music, Pitt State merchandise, and a pre-game pep rally.
Homecoming
Return to campus in the fall to celebrate with us and show your Gorilla Pride! Take part in Pitt State traditions like royalty crowning, Taste of Pittsburg, the Homecoming parade, and more before cheering on Gorilla Football.
Grandparents University
We are excited to introduce Grandparents University on June 4, 2026! This special day on campus is designed for alumni grandparents and their grandchildren ages 8-11. Participants will enjoy hands-on activities from several academic areas, experience life at Pitt State, and wrap up the day with a mock graduation.
Half-Century Reunion
Did you graduate 50 years ago? Join us for your Half-Century Reunion to celebrate this milestone anniversary! During the celebration, we also host members of the 55 and 60-year classes, as well as current members of the Half-Century Club.
'90s Greek Homecoming Reunion
Get ready to rewind the tape and kick it old school at Pitt State! Join us October 16th and 17th for a ’90s Greek Homecoming Reunion filled with tradition, Gorilla Pride, and a chance to reconnect. It’s going to be all that and a bag of chips!
Overman Student Center 75th
Join us on October 16th-17th to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Overman Student Center with fellow alumni, former employees, student employees, student organizations, and friends! Enjoy anniversary-specific events, as well as Homecoming activities.
Great Gorilla Tour
We love seeing our alumni in the Four-State area, but we want to engage with as many alumni as possible. We've now hosted three Great Gorilla Tours - hitting the road and driving cross country to visit Gorillas! On our most recent adventure, we visited eight cities across five states in 15 days, covering 2,915 miles.
