From Kansas City
Depending upon your location both US 69 (on the Kansas side) and I-49 (on the Missouri side) offer convenient routes to Pittsburg State University. Approximate time is 2 hours.
From Wichita
US-400 is generally the most convenient route. Approximate time is 2 hours and 45 minutes.
From Tulsa
I-44 is generally the most convenient route. Approximate time is 2 hours.
From Springfield
I-44 is generally the most convenient route. Approximate time is 1 hour and 40 minutes.
From Fayetteville/Springdale
I-49 is generally the most convenient route. Approximate time is 2 hours.
Champions Plaza parking is $10 per vehicle. All other lots are $5 per vehicle.
The east side of Joplin street, in front of Carnie Smith Stadium, is reserved for handicap parking. Spaces are also available within the Champions Plaza parking lot after paying the $10 parking fee.
Handicap seating inside Carnie Smith Stadium is available on the east side, including elevator service to the sky box and upper deck levels.
Buses and RVs will be directed to the Weede Parking Lot just to the west of the Weede Building. These spaces are on a first-come, first-served basis so we encourage you to come early. Parking in this area is allowed between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. the night before the game and when gates open on gamedays. The cost of bus/RV parking is $20.
Pittsburg State University offers nine parking lots conveniently located within walking distance of Carnie Smith Stadium.
