Learn about GUSWare:

PSU has partnered with AppsAnywhere to create GUSWare.  GUSWare is an app store that contains PSU owned software applications available in one place for students, faculty, and staff to download to their personal or University machines for use anytime, anywhere! This means that students, faculty, and staff can use their personal Windows machines (or PSU Windows machines) to download and use PSU licensed software. Imagine being anywhere and accessing PSU owned software at your convenience!

• This approach holds great benefits for our busy students needing a convenient and free way for them to access University software without making a trip to a computer lab.  
• The possibilities for online students is great, giving faculty the opportunity to utilize software that students may not be able to afford and use remotely otherwise.  
• This software may allow for a less expensive way to deliver software to our students than traditional computer labs. 
• GUSWare can limit access to students, faculty, and staff by major, course, job title, enrollment, employment, etc through our Active Directory PSU credentials.
• GUSWare supports extensive reporting allowing institutions to view what software is being used and how often.  Institutions using AppsAnywhere have often found that they are over licensing software and are able to save dollars by cutting back on yearly software licenses.
• There would be no change in how current University owned software licensing is purchased or managed. AppsAnywhere simply 'works' with most applications and their licensing models to deliver the applications to students, faculty, and staff through an app store medium. 
• AppsAnywhere has extensive training for University technicians and any interested faculty.

If you don't have a full version of Windows OS on your device there are still options to use GUSWare through PSU's desktop virtualization.  This works for a host of operating systems including Mac OS, Windows Home/Education/etc OS versions, and Chromebook.
