GUSNet is PSU's campus-wide wireless network. It is available for all students, faculty, and staff to use. Logging in is easy! Just go to your device's network settings and enter your PSU credentials: PSU email + PSU password. That's it!
PSU offers GUSNet Guest for those visiting campus that are not PSU students, faculty, or employees. This is a great resource for those hosting campus events like camps, workshops, career fairs, and more!
Simply share the following directions with your PSU guests: To access the PSU GUSNet Guest Wireless Network just go to your device's network settings and access GusNet Guest from your list of available wireless networks. After connecting to GusNet Guest your device will automatically redirect to the PSU Guest Portal page. Guests should carefully read the Acceptable Use Policy. If you agree to the terms of use of this network, select Accept and your device will be connected to GUSNet Guest.
Using a wired connection is always best when connecting your gaming console, because wired connections aren’t competing for bandwidth. All University residence halls have at least one wired port per person. However if you wish to connect your gaming device to the wireless network, connect the device to the GusNet Guest service (SSID). After selecting GusNet Guest your gaming device should automatically connect to the network.
The chief benefit is a much higher level of security for your personal and professional data while using University wireless services. In addition, faculty and staff will have direct access to printing and other resources without the need for extra steps such as logging into VPN.
