An English Education emphasis will prepare future teachers to teach English in middle school and high school. Pitt State believes that making a better future starts with working now; thus, our students receive the necessary training to pass on English knowledge to a new generation.

Students work with professionals in middle and secondary classrooms and complete multiple field experiences. Students work with professionals in middle and secondary school classrooms and complete multiple field experiences, including an internship which leads to a consecutive, final semester under the supervision of an experienced, licensed teacher.
