Employees who retire from PSU are eligible for a sick leave bonus paid as follows:

| 8 years | 800 hours | 240 hours |
| 15 years | 1000 hours | 360 hours |
| 25 years | 1200 hours | 480 hours |
The sick leave bonus is paid in a lump sum on the employee's last paycheck.
