Therapeutic Recreation is centered around research. We consistently test and adapt intervention programming. In previous years, our students have showcased their work at conferences, presenting projects that evaluate the health and fitness of Special Olympics athletes.

These interventions are tailored to the individual's specific goals and objectives and are implemented by trained therapeutic recreation professionals.
Students completing the Therapeutic Recreation emphasis are eligible to sit for the National Council on Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) Exam.
