This year, the game falls on Veterans Day.

Both the shirt and cap were designed by Pitt State student Seth Freiburger.
Children's activities the day of the game begins at 11 a.m. in Gorilla Village east of Carnie Smith Stadium and will include face painting and a rope bridge, in addition to GorillaFest activities.
During halftime, the Pride of the Plains Marching Band will perform a Top Gun-themed show, and a special ceremony will include the promotion of Pitt State alumnus Lt. Col. Jeremiah Hull to a full Colonel and the contracting of ROTC cadets.
