The Class of 2022 will “graduate” on Friday, and Turner will be among them.
“The thing I enjoyed the most was getting to meet people from all over campus,” she said. “As a newer employee I really enjoyed getting to know people outside of my division and making those connections.”
“It was neat to learn about different leaders in our community and on campus and learning the different styles and perspectives to make us better leaders in both our professional and personal lives.”
It was founded in President Steve Scott in 2007-08, when he was provost, modeled after an experience of which he was a part at Harvard University.
Each academic year, the class works together in small teams to develop two-hour programs featuring guests that address timely topics in both higher education and the world at large. Activities range from panel discussions to sharing case studies to team building.
Since it began, there have been 290 faculty and staff graduate from Leadership PSU. For the past seven years, it has been led by Chief Information Officer Angela Neria, a PSU Leadership Class of 2014 alumna.
"I always very much enjoy witnessing leadership lessons and the love that faculty and staff have for PSU over the course of the year,” Neria said.
