The choirs, part of the Pittsburg State University Music Department, will sing 11 pieces at the show: “Kyrie from Mass” by Franz Schubert, “Swansea Town” by Gustav Holst, “The Music of Stillness” by Elaine Hagenberg, “Ave Maria” by Anton Bruckner, “Sing, My Child” by Sarah Qartel, “The Evening Primrose” by Benjamin Britten, “Rorate Caeli” by Francisco Guerrero, “Angel Band” arranged by Shawn Kirchner, “There’s a Meeting Here Tonight” by Gibson, Hassilev, Yarbrough, arranged by Cantus, “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot”, by Tarik O’Regan, and “O Prise the Lord with One Consent” by G.F. Handel.
Director Susan Marchant is looking forward to the performance with her choir for this year.
“We always look forward to performing our November concert in the Bicknell Center... we hope that people will enjoy our performance of interesting choral music,” Marchant said.
