Pittsburg State University has offered plastics educational programs for over fifty years. Students completing this 2-year program will be prepared to meet the critical demand for technicians in the plastics industry, which is the fastest-growing manufacturing sector in the United States. Career opportunities exist in practically every industry sector and at locations throughout the country.
Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) offers students who have graduated from an accredited two-year associate degree technical program the opportunity to extend their education and training. Like two-year technical programs, this bachelor's degree gives students complete, hands-on training for a real-world job.
The Department of Engineering Technology is housed in the Kansas Technology Center on the Pittsburg State University campus. Engineering Technology Programs are comprised of elements of the technological spectrum requiring scientific and engineering knowledge plus the operational methods and skills devoted to achieving practical purpose in support of product producing industries.
