College of Technology Open House and Career Expo
An event designed especially for students to explore and investigate technology programs at Pittsburg State University and career opportunities in our technological world.This virtual multi-activity event provides opportunity for students (Grades 10-12, especially juniors and seniors) to see a wide variety of demonstrations, information sessions, and interact with students and faculty.

Activities (1-3)
Activities are available for viewing February 23-March 24th (last day of viewing period for prizes and awards eligibility).
Students will have 10 days to complete activities 1, 2, and 3 before moving on to the final activity, activity 4.
Teachers can use these activities as part of their curriculum. Check out sample activity and download lesson plan.
Activity 4 – Wrap-Up—Awards, Rewards (Door Prizes) and Next Step
After completing activities 1-3 and related feedback sheets, students will be ready for Wrap-Up.
This includes the presentation of achievement awards to students, teachers, and schools (top participation by school divisions—under 500, 500-1000, over 1000 10-12th grade students, and tech school). See Fall 2020 recipients below.
Additionally, those students making a good faith, quality effort to complete feedback sheets are eligible for scholarship opportunities, plus overall and program area prizes (each appropriate feedback sheet serves as a “ticket” to be used in drawings for dozens of prizes).
And finally, video of awards and rewards announcements, and “Next Steps” will be posted for viewing at 12:00 PM (CST), on Friday, March 26th.

This virtual event will provide you and your students an opportunity to:
- learn about 12+ undergraduate technology programs at PSU;
- check out 278,000 sq. ft. Kansas Technology Center facilities and equipment;
- gain unique program perspectives from PSU technology students and faculty;
- investigate specialized technology programs and career opportunities;
- view dozens of demos and information sessions in 14 different venues;
- check out student organizations and scholarship opportunities;
- complete online feedback sheet activities to document event participation;
- become eligible to receive awards, rewards—prizes and scholarship opportunities;
- check-out Wrap-Up—Awards, Rewards (prizes), and Next Steps on March 12, 2021; and
- learn all about what Pitt State has to offer!
