Master of Arts in Teaching (Secondary) Admission Requirements:
Admissions criteria for the Master’s Degree in Teaching (Secondary) will include the following:- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution verifying the applicant’s earned degree in content area or completion of coursework equivalent to requirements for Pittsburg State
- University-approved teacher education programs
- Cumulative GPA of 3.00
- Successful completion of the professional disposition assessment
- Completion of a background check
- Writing Sample
- Two completed recommendations
- Passing score on the appropriate Praxis subject assessment as required by KSDE.
Culminating Event
Successful completion of the Teacher Work Sample and Portfolio.
