Study Child Development

Major in Family and Consumer Sciences with an Emphasis in Child Development

Shape young minds with the Child Development emphasis. This emphasis prepares individuals to work with children ages birth-8 in a variety of programs within the community.

Students can tailor the program to fit their needs by selecting electives to match their professional goals. Additionally, all childhood development students will choose a minor that meets their interests and career goals. Suggested minors include but are not limited to:

Little Gorillas Preschool

Students will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities with young children at our NAEYC-accredited preschool on campus.
