The Biology Minor provides students with a foundational understanding of biological principles, from cellular processes to ecosystems.

Through hands-on laboratory experiences and interdisciplinary coursework, students develop critical thinking skills and practical knowledge applicable to various fields. 

Unique class topics in the Biology Minor:

  • Principles of Biology I: Explore the foundational principles of biology, including cellular structure and function, genetics, and evolutionary processes, through engaging lectures, laboratory experiments, and interactive discussions aimed at fostering an understanding of fundamental biological concepts.
  • Principles of Biology II: Dive deeper into the study of biology by examining topics such as ecology, organism diversity, and physiological processes, utilizing hands-on laboratory investigations, field studies, and critical analysis of scientific literature to explore the interconnectedness of living systems and their impact on the natural world.

Additional courses cover topics such as ecology, genetics, cell biology, physiology, and anatomy.
