This 13-credit hour certificate will serve as a non-degree seeking option for nurses who already have an MSN, DNP or PhD in Nursing. This post-master’s certificate in nursing education will allow nurses to obtain the additional formal preparation necessary to be successful in the nurse educator role. It contains courses that cover the range of activities essential to the nurse educator role. The graduates will be eligible to educate student nurses, patients, families, staff nurses and other direct patient care providers.

Graduates of this program will be eligible to sit for the Certified Nurse Educator (CNE®) examination, through the National League for Nursing.
