Wind Ensemble concert set for Oct. 11

Entitled “Friends,” the first concert of the semester for the PSU Wind Ensemble will include three guest conductors who are all recently retired from public school music education.

“All three have played a significant role during my 32-year teaching career in music,” said Craig Fuchs, who directs the ensemble.

The guest conductors are Danny Watring, Roy Maxwell, and John Selzer.

“The concert will celebrate their outstanding careers as band directors and their contributions to music education,” Fuchs said.

The concert, which is free, will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11, in Bicknell Family Center for the Arts.
