Growing Career Expo moves to Plaster Center

So many employers signed up to meet students at Pittsburg State University’s Fall Career Expo on Oct. 20, that the Office of Career Services has moved the event to the big spaces of the Robert W. Plaster Center.

More than 140 employers attended the event. The companies and agencies range from familiar regional firms to major national brands.

The Fall Career Expo is event at which students from all majors network with employers and learn more about opportunities available in their field of interest. The fair targets experiential learning opportunities from summer employment at camps to internships and full-time professional positions.

Career Services Director Mindy Cloninger said it's exciting to see so many companies and agencies who are eager to meet and recruit Pitt State Students.

"Having the Plaster Center available has been wonderful," Cloninger said. "There's plenty of space and no one feels crowded. There's also good parking. It makes it a good experience for both the company representatives and the students who attend."
