Students perform opera scenes

Students in Pittsburg State University’s Opera Theatre will perform several opera and musical theater scenes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 8, in the Sharon K. Dean Recital Hall in McCray Hall. The performance is free and open to the public.

Selections for Friday’s program will be taken from Leonard Bernstein’s operetta, “Candide;” Henry Purcell’s and Nahum Tate’s opera, “Dido and Aeneas;” Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic opera, “The Pirates of Penzance,” and more.
