Pittsburg State University is offering a record number of online courses for the 2016 summer session.
Of the more than 450 courses offered for the summer session, more than 156 are online. Online courses continue to grow in popularity, as they offer students the chance to take classes at Pitt State regardless of where they spend their summers.
“Online courses are very important and popular because they allow students the flexibility to continue their education from wherever they spend the summer,” said PSU Provost Lynette Olson. “Many of our students return to their hometowns during the summer, and offering online courses means they can continue their Pittsburg State education with familiar Pittsburg State faculty.”
The popularity of the summer session also continues to increase, as more students take advantage of the chance accelerate their academic programs.
“For some students, the summer session is a chance to play a little catch-up,” Olson said. “For others, it’s a chance to jump ahead a bit in terms of meeting their completion requirements.”
The 2016 summer session runs from June 6 to July 29. For more information about the 2016 summer session, visit http://www.pittstate.edu/admission/information/summer-student.
