KTC hosts Automotive Orientation Day

More than 40 automotive technology industry professionals from across the nation will be at Pittsburg State on Thursday, March 10, for the College of Technology’s annual Automotive Orientation Day.

The event gives automotive technology students the chance to interact and network with industry professionals from various sectors of the automotive field.

The day’s activities begin with panel sessions at 9:15 and 10:30 a.m. These sessions give students the opportunity to speak directly to a panel of experts and to ask any questions they may have about the industry.

At 12:30 p.m., the company representatives will set up booths for a career-fair-style networking session in Kansas Technology Center room N114.

“This is one of our premier on-campus events for automotive technology majors,” said associate professor Scott Norman. “The students get to meet with a variety of industry professionals and potentially set up internship or job opportunities.”

The event is expected to conclude by 2:30 p.m.
