On April 1, local residents will be able to make the 7,000-mile trip from Pittsburg to Tajikistan and be home in time for dinner. Tajikistan, a land-locked nation in central Asia, will be the subject of an International Gathering in the lower level of Grubbs Hall on the Pittsburg State University campus. The event, which is free and open to the public, begins at 6 p.m.
Visitors will learn about the food and culture of Tajikistan and meet students from that nation as well as people from all around the world. International Gatherings are sponsored by the Office of International Programs and Services, community volunteers, and the International Student Association.
