Choirs present spring 2016 concert

The Choirs of Pittsburg State University will present their annual Spring Concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, in the Sharon Kay Dean Recital Hall in McCray Hall on the PSU campus. The concert is free and open to the public.
The choirs, under the direction of Susan Marchant, will perform a variety of works for diverse choral ensembles. Instrumentalists will include Emilia Cardenas, violin; Peter Frost, organ; and Jung Hee Lee, piano.
Sunday’s diverse program will include a range of works, including pieces like William Byrd’s “Agnus Dei,” from Mass for four voices; the old spiritual “I Got a Robe,” arranged by Paul Carey; Monteverdi’s “O dolce anima mia” and “S’andasse Amor a caccia;” and “Norwegian Wood” and “Blackbird,” by John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
