More than 100 companies sign up for PSU Spring Career Day

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, national unemployment is down to 4.9 percent, the lowest it has been in almost eight years. Other data from the Labor Department indicates many employers are having a tough time filling some positions.

Pittsburg State University students will have an opportunity to explore the more favorable job market at the PSU Career Services Spring Career Day, which runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11, in the Overman Student Center. More than 100 companies, agencies and organizations have signed up to visit with students about summer internships and full-time opportunities.

Spring Career Day is open to all students, regardless of major. Company participants range from automotive and plastics to health care and financial institutions.
