YouTube, television star Todrick Hall performs at PSU

Todrick Hall, a Broadway actor, YouTube sensation, American Idol finalist and television personality, will bring his high-energy performance to Pittsburg State University at 8 p.m. on Monday, September 21, in the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts. The performance is part of PSU’s Performing Arts and Lecture Series (PALS).

Hall, who recently began his new MTV reality show, is a new kind of star known for his versatility in all areas of the performing arts. He has assisted in the choreography of Beyoncé’s groundbreaking “Blow” music video, written musical YouTube parodies and was the mastermind behind VirginAmerica’s latest safety video.

With more than 1.6 million YouTube subscribers and a hyper-engaged fan base, Hall has established a strong social media presence. His viral YouTube videos, including “Beauty and the Beat,” “Target Flash Mob,” “Mean Gurlz,” and “Cinderonce,” have garnered more than a quarter of a billion views online.

Hall has earned recognition from USA Today and landed coveted spots on Business Insider’s “Hottest YouTube Stars Alive” and Forbes “30 under 30 Entertainment” lists. Last year Hall embarked on his first world tour, “Twerk du Soliel,” selling out shows in Los Angeles, New York and London.

Tickets for the performance are $10 for the public and $5 for PSU students, faculty and staff, and may be purchased at the PSU Ticket Office, 1701 S. Homer, 620-235-4796, or online at www.pittstate.edu/tickets. This performance is recommended for teen and adult audiences.
