International Gathering showcases Africa

Six African nations will be the focus for Pittsburg State University’s first International Gathering of the year on Friday, Sept. 11, hosted by the African Student Association. The event will take place at 6 p.m. in the lower level of Grubbs Hall.
The countries to be featured are Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Uganda, Ethiopia and Cameroon. Students from these nations will share information about their history, politics, culture and food.
International Gatherings are sponsored by the Office of International Programs and Services, community volunteers, and the International Student Association and are free and open to the public.
