KCOB appoints new leadership team

Four faculty members in Pittsburg State’s Kelce College of Business have assumed new leadership roles for the upcoming academic year.

Paul Grimes, dean of the KCOB, announced the following appointments this week:

Kevin Bracker, chair of the Economics, Finance and Banking Department; Din Cortes, associate dean and director of the MBA Program; Eric Harris, professor and College Director for Research and Engagement; and Lynn Murray, chair of the Management and Marketing Department.

"Our recent organizational and leadership changes place the college in a great position going into the new academic year,” Grimes said. “I'm very excited about working with the new team and firmly believe that the Kelce College of Business is posed for future growth. We have a lot of exciting things happening right now and even more great things are on the horizon."

Each of the new college leaders said they are excited to help move the KCOB forward.

Kevin Bracker:

"I'm fortunate enough to be working with a great department and people in the other leadership roles around me who can help provide some guidance for me as I step into this new position,” Bracker said. “While there will be a bit of a learning curve over the next few months, I'm looking forward to the opportunities ahead of us."

Din Cortes:

“I take great pride in serving as associate dean and director of our excellent MBA Program,” Cortes said. “I appreciate the opportunity to serve the college and our students in these leadership roles.”

Eric Harris:

“I'm very excited to assume the role of director of research and engagement,” Harris said. “I look forward to developing stronger ties between the Kelce College and the regional business community.”

Lynn Murray:

“Serving in a leadership role within the Kelce College of Business is an exceptional opportunity, and I’m grateful for this chance to help move the college forward,” Murray said. “I look forward to working with Dean Grimes, the leadership team and all of our wonderful faculty, staff and students.”
