Reading program combines books, animals

Pittsburg State University’s Nature Reach Program will combine reading with live animals in three free sessions for children 3-5 years old. Nature Reach Program Director Delia Lister said the sessions, from 9-9:30 a.m. on June 24, July 8, and July 22nd, in Room 329 Heckert-Wells Hall, will be limited to just 15 children each. Lister said she expects the sessions to fill up quickly.

Lister said that at each session, the children will be read a story and will be introduced to an animal or group of animals as part of the story.

Reservations, which are required, may be made by calling 620-235-4727 or by email at dlister@pittstate.edu.
