Pitt State faculty present research in Netherlands

Pittsburg State’s Kansas Center for Career and Technical Education was represented this spring in the Netherlands at the annual Association for International Agricultural Extension and Education research conference.

Assistant Professors Kevin Elliott and Jeanea Lambeth presented two research projects at the conference, which also featured prominent universities such as Purdue, Texas Tech and the University of Florida. Pittsburg State was the only Division II school that presented at the conference.

In the Fall of 2014, Lambeth submitted abstract proposals for a poster titled, “The Implementation of a Technical Teacher Education and Workforce Development Center Through Innovative Delivery Methods and Mentoring” and a paper presentation titled, “Implementing an Innovative Teacher Education and Mentoring Center for In-Service Teachers in the Midwestern United States and Saudi Arabia.” The presentations were entered as innovative concepts in education and both were accepted.

“It was a thrill and an honor to be able to present this research and represent Pittsburg State at the conference,” Lambeth said. “Dr. Elliott and I greatly enjoyed the experience.”

The conference was hosted by Wageningen University in the Netherlands.
