Gaming, gadgets and old-school comics on display at G3 Expo

Graphics, gadgets and games will again be on display at the Kansas Technology Center this year during the annual G3 Expo hosted by the Pittsburg State Graphics and Imaging Technologies Department.

The G3 Expo, to take place Saturday, March 28, is a one-day conference that seeks to bring together students, educators, professionals and enthusiasts in all areas of Graphics and Imaging Technologies and highlight the Four States area as a creative outlet for these industries. The event begins with an opening session at 9 a.m. and continues with small-group sessions beginning at 10 a.m.

The event will feature a variety of speaking sessions, workshops and exhibitors from a wide range of GIT areas. This year's G3 Expo's theme is old school comic books and the expo includes a special speaker track of presentations all focusing on the creation and industry of comic books.

“The purpose of the Pitt State G3 Expo is to provide a gathering for individuals to share their appreciation and foster awareness of the study and industries in graphics,” said organizer Akram Taghavi-Burris.

The G3 Expo is organized as a joint effort between the PSU Graphics and Imaging Technologies (GIT) department and their two departmental student organizations, the Gamma Epsilon Tau and the Graphics Arts Club.
