Advancement Ambassadors to conduct Thank-A-Thon

Pittsburg State students who have received a scholarship for this academic year will have the chance to thank the person who made it possible during Thursday’s (Nov. 13) PSU Thank-A-Thon.

The event, being held in conjunction with National Philanthropy Week, is conducted by the Pittsburg State Advancement Ambassadors.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Prairie Room of the Overman Student Center, students can write thank-you notes to the donors or families who made their scholarships possible. Members of the Advancement Ambassadors group will be present to assist in the creation of the notes.

“We wanted to do this as a way of saying ‘thank you’ to all of the generous donors who have helped create and maintain all of the scholarships we as students enjoy,” said Kimberlee Fields, president of the Advancement Ambassadors. “As this week is National Philanthropy Week, we thought this was a great time to conduct our Thank-A-Thon.”

National Philanthropy Day, proclaimed by President Ronald Reagan in 1986, is November 15.
