Pittsburg State University students will be considering some important life questions this week, such as: “Can what you learn in college help you escape a hoard of the undead?” and “Just what are your rights and responsibilities during the zombie apocalypse?”
These and other topics will be covered as part of the PSU Undead Interdisciplinary Lectures Series beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30, in Room 224 Kelce Hall. Four, hour-long lecture panels are planned, covering Human-Zombie Relations, Zombie Culture, Zombie Logistics and Zombie Philosophy. PSU faculty members from social work, political science, art, English, geography, mathematics and philosophy will be involved.
Although zombies feature prominently in each topic, organizers said, the questions to considered are just as important to living members of society.
At 9:30 p.m., following the conclusion of the last lecture panel, there will be a free showing of the George Romero classic, “Dawn of the Dead.”
