PSU announces student rights, responsibilities appointment

Steve Erwin, associate vice president for campus life and auxiliary services, has announced the appointment of C. Jason Kegler as Pittsburg State University’s director of student rights and responsibilities.
In his new role at PSU, Kegler will be responsible for the overall administration of the university’s discipline and judicial system. He will coordinate the university’s Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment Team and design and deliver educational programs and materials to address community issues and promote good citizenship among students.
“Mr. Kegler has a wide range of experience in working with college students and we are excited to welcome him to the Pitt State family,” Erwin said.
Kegler comes to PSU from Neosho County Community College, where he has served as dean of students since July 2013. Previously, he was dean of student development at NCCC from 2010 until 2013. Kegler was a member of the staff at Allen Community College from 2000 until 2010, serving first as director of admissions and marketing and then as director of student life.
Kegler earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Saint Mary and master’s degree in organizational leadership from Fort Hays State University.
Kegler begins work on June 23.
