The presenters at Pittsburg State University’s spring Pecha Kucha night may struggle with how to pronounce the event, but they all agree on how it works. Those who participate in the event, at 7:20 p.m. on Friday, April 25, in S012 of the Kansas Technology Center, will present their topics in exactly the same way as many thousands of others all around the world – 20 slides, 20 seconds each, for a total of 6 minutes and 40 seconds.
Pecha Kucha (Japanese for “chit-chat”) is a popular, fast-paced presentation event in which participants may speak on any topic of their choosing. Mark Johnson, one of the organizers of PSU’s Pecha Kucha, said he expects a wide variety of topics to be discussed. One new group of participants will be Megan Caprice Stonebarger’s Girard Middle School class, he said.
The event is open to the public. For more information, contact Johnson at 620-235-4628.
