Jazz Ensembles present spring concert Tuesday

The Pittsburg State University Jazz Ensembles will wrap up their 2013-14 season with a free spring concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, in Pittsburg’s Memorial Auditorium. The ensembles are under the direction of Bob Kehle.

The program for the spring concert features a variety of music, ranging from classic swing to contemporary fusion style, with works from the Thad Jones, Stan Kenton, Count Baise, Kenny Wheeler, John Clayton Jr., and Maynard Ferguson big bands. Also on the program are works by Radiohead, George Gershwin and Pat Metheny.
