Concert features American music

Pittsburg State University music students will pay tribute to American music with their annual American Music Recital at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2. The concert will take place in the Sharon K. Dean Recital Hall in McCray Hall.

The concert is staged by Phi Mu Alpha Simphonia, an international music fraternity, and Sigma Alpha Iota, an international music sorority.

Organizers said that in addition to choral music, the performances will include solo instruments, the Beta Delta Brass Band and a small ensemble playing "Pick Up the Pieces" by the Average White Band.
