PSU names Stice director of annual giving

Kathleen Flannery, executive director of university development at Pittsburg State University, recently announced the appointment of Jessica Stice as the new director of annual giving.

As director of annual giving, Stice is responsible for the university's annual fund-raising efforts, including the Phonathon, the Community Campaign and the Faculty-Staff Campaign.

 “The support that Pittsburg State University and its students receive from the community, friends of the university and alumni has never been more important,” Flannery said. “Jessica’s experience and her enthusiasm will help ensure that this support not only continues, but grows.”

“It’s my honor and privilege to join Pittsburg State University,” Stice said. “As a Southeast Kansas native and PSU graduate, I truly have a heart for this university.  The director of annual giving plays a vital role in making certain that funds are available to ensure the quality of our academic programs for our students. I am sincerely dedicated to that.”

Stice received a BSBA in marketing from PSU in 2011. Her professional career includes working as an agent and marketing manager for Clemens Insurance in Parsons, as marketing development manager for Coca-Cola Refreshments in Fort Scott, and most recently, as an owner/agent for Shelter Insurance in Pittsburg.

Stice is vice president for the Southeast Kansas American Business Women’s Association and a member of the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce and Pittsburg Area Young Professionals.

The Office of University Development will host a reception to introduce Stice to the community from 4-5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28, in the Wilkinson Alumni Center.
