Students trade for Gorilla wear

For two hours, Tuesday, Pitt State students queued up on the Oval to trade in t-shirts from other universities and colleges for a brand new Pitt State shirt. Organizers in the Office of Marketing and Communication said the event, “Trade Your Tee Tuesday,” was an overwhelming success.

"We know how proud our students are to be Gorillas, and we want them to show that pride by wearing Pitt State apparel," said Chris Kelly, associate vice president for marketing and communication. "And maybe we're a little biased, but we'd rather see our students in Pitt State apparel than any other university's shirts."

In their short stint on the Oval, the PSU team collected more than 200 shirts from other schools that will now be donated to a charitable organization.
