Pitt State to welcome 19 new faculty members

Nineteen new faculty members will get their official welcome to
Pittsburg State next week.
The annual, two-day New Faculty Orientation session begins at 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12 with opening remarks from President Steve Scott inside the Governor’s Room of the Overman Student Center.
From there, the new faculty members will attend a variety of sessions focused on different aspects of Pittsburg State, including Axe Library resources, student advisement, information systems, human resources and a history of the university. The new faculty will also be introduced to many university administrators, faculty and staff members.
Sessions on both days end at 3:30 p.m.
The New Faculty Orientation is conducted by the Pitt State Center for Teaching, Learning and Technology. Along with the orientation sessions, monthly meetings are held throughout the academic year to assist new faculty with getting to know Pittsburg State.
