Korean culture, food to be on display

Korean culture, food and entertainment will be on display during Korean Culture Night, an annual event set to take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 4, in the Crimson and Gold Ballroom of the Overman Student Center at Pittsburg State University.

The event, open to the public, is hosted by the PSU Korean Student Association.

“This is an exciting event that is aimed at promoting the friendship between the Korean students at PSU and students from many other cultures,” said Jamie Lee, KSA president. “We want to share the Korean culture and show how Korean students contribute to the diversity at PSU.”

The event will feature a variety of displays of Korean culture, including a fan-dancing performance, martial arts exhibition and musical ensembles. Traditional Korean food will also be available.

Admission to the cultural activity portion of the event is free. Those who plan to eat must purchase $5 tickets, which will be available at the door or in advance by calling Lee at 620-240-0571.
