Maniacal 4 trombone concert set for Feb. 7

The internationally acclaimed trombone quartet Maniacal 4 will present a free concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, in the Sharon Kay Dean Recital Hall in Pittsburg State University’s McCray Hall.

Maniacal 4 has its roots at the University of North Texas and they have performed extensively on three continents. Their performances include classical, jazz, Latin and rock music. Their first CD, “Carry On,” is scheduled for release this spring. On that CD, the quartet performs eight new arrangements of classical rock tunes from 1974-1982.
