Solo and Chamber Music Series

A.I.

A reference to Artificial Intelligence, you're thinking? No! This is about Artistic Intelligence, which will be on brilliant display during the 2023-2024 season of the Solo & Chamber Music Series. We are delighted to announce this year's slate of gifted artists who will bring truly exceptional performances to the stage of McCray Hall’s Sharon Kay Dean Recital Hall on six Friday evenings across the academic year.

The season will open in September with an exhilarating program by award-winning violist Jordan Bak. In mid-October, the colorful sounds of woodwinds will fill the hall in a concert by Quintet Attacca. Sublime singing by the British vocal ensemble The Gesualdo Six will bring the fall season to an elegant close in November.

Immediately upon our return to campus in January, the British connection will continue as we host the groundbreaking guitarist Paul Galbraith. American pianist Thomas Rosenkranz, who heads the keyboard area at the UMKC Conservatory, will present an exciting and innovative concert in February, and then we'll bring the season to a resounding conclusion in April with a concert featuring Latin musical traditions performed by the Axiom Brass.

Intelligence – Beauty - Virtuosity This season has it all. Please join us for the full year!

All performances at 7:30 p.m., in the Sharon Kay Dean Recital Hall on the PSU campus.
