Callie Becraft


Major Callie Becraft enlisted in the Kansas Army National Guard in 2007 as a Motor Transport Operator, prior to graduating from Olathe South High School in Olathe, Kansas, in 2008. She then attended Pittsburg State University, commissioning from ROTC as a Medical Service Officer and Distinguished Military Graduate in 2012. She obtained her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2018.

MAJ Becraft practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Kansas, Arizona, and California within a variety of inpatient, at-home, clinical, and community settings. While working as a civilian mental health provider, she simultaneously maintained her dual-career as an Officer in the Kansas Army National Guard.

In the National Guard, MAJ Becraft has served as Platoon Leader and Executive Officer of the 1077th Ground Ambulance Medical Company, Company Commander for 69th Troop Command Higher Headquarters Detachment, Operations Officer and Clinical Training Officer for the Kansas Medical Detachment, and Brigade S-1 for the 635th Regional Support Group. Her most recent role was serving as the Administrative Officer for the Medical Detachment in Lenexa, Kansas.

MAJ Becraft enjoys painting, reading, comedy, CrossFit workouts, and spending time with her cats. She believes that every day doesn’t have to be great, but there is something great in every day.
