Online Graduate CertificateAdvance your career in Communication with our flexible graduate certificate. Tailored to your goals, our program will enhance your skills and knowledge. In addition, the Graduate Certificate in Communication meets the requirements of the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) for those instructors who have a master’s degree in another discipline and need an additional 18 graduate credit hours in Communication to teach Communication courses.
Time Limit
With courses taught online, students can complete the certificate within 12 months. However, there is no time limit to complete the Graduate Certificate in Communication program. Students must obtain a B or above to apply the credits toward the 18-hour Graduate Certificate in Communication program requirement.
Post-Certificate Master's Work
Upon completion, students will receive the Graduate Certificate in Communication and may choose to enroll in the PSU Department of Communication Master of Arts Degree program to complete the remainder of the MA curriculum. Students may apply all courses in the graduate certificate program to the degree-seeking MA curriculum.
Application Procedure:
Applicants follow the standard procedures for applying to the PSU Communication Graduate Program and must meet the same requirements for acceptance into the Graduate Certificate program.
