To apply, submit your Graduate School application and official transcripts. Additionally, provide a personal essay reflecting on your history background, motivations for pursuing the MA, and program expectations. Deadlines are March 1 for Fall and Summer, and October 1 for Spring.

About the Master's Degree

Choose from three distinct options tailored to your career goals and interests:

Option I: Thesis Prepare for doctoral programs or advanced careers with in-depth research. Requires 30 semester hours, including two seminars. Thesis availability is competitive and contingent upon faculty agreement.

Option II: Applied Research Ideal for those pursuing teaching or public history careers. Present a curricular or public history project. Requires 33 semester hours, including three seminars. Project chair appointment is necessary.

Option III: Coursework Demonstrate advanced study in your concentration area. Complete 33 semester hours, including four seminars, showcasing your expertise and dedication.
