About Darren Botello-Samson
Dr. Botello-Samson joined the faculty in the School of History, Philosophy and Social Sciences in 2007. He earned his doctorate in political science at Rutgers University, where he researched the impact of property rights litigation on environmental regulatory agencies. Prior to joining the faculty at Pittsburg State University, he was a visiting professor in the Department of History and Political Science at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC. When he is not teaching or writing, Dr. Botello-Samson enjoys hiking and cooking vegetarian cuisine.
Dr. Botello-Samson was honored with the 2014 Robert K. Ratzlaff Outstanding Faculty Award by the Student Government Association from student nominees of faculty that demonstrate excellence in instruction and service to students on campus.
