Students plan International Showcase for March 8

The annual International Showcase returns to the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts on March 8 at 6:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. The show will feature music and cultural performances by Pittsburg State University students, followed by desserts and informative booths in the lobby. 

Countries represented this year include India, Napal/Tiwan, Peru, Africa, South Korea, China, Paraguay, and Hispanics of Today.  

Indian students will perform four styles of dance: Bollywood, fusion, classical, and folk/garba. Brazilian students will perform a skit with a dance. Students from other countries will perform a mix of songs and cultural dances.  

Desserts will be from Brazil, South Korea, and Vietnam. Beverage choices will be from Taiwan/Mango Lassi (India), and Mexico.  

Attendees may browse booths from African countries, China, Hispanic countries, Pakistan, Paraguay, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Brazil. Henna, from India, will be demonstrated.
